Banana bread

  • Dry Mix
    • 180 g White Wheat Flour
    • 1 t Baking Soda
    • 1 t Baking Powder
    • 1/2 t Medium-Grain Salt
    • 1/4 t Cinnamon, ground
    • 1/4 t Nutmeg, grated
  • 3 Ripe Bananas, peeled, mashed
  • 180 g White Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 t Vanilla Extract
  • 100 g Walnuts, toasted, chopped
  • 30 g Milk
  1. Preheat oven to 325ºF (163ºC).
  2. Combine dry mix. Whisk together flour mixture. Set aside.
  3. Mix batter. Combine mashed bananas, sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk 2 minutes until sugar is dissolved and mixture is smooth and creamy. Mix in walnuts, milk, and flour mixture until just combined.
  4. Shape loaf. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
  5. Bake 60 minutes at 325ºF until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool 20 minutes before removing from loaf pan.
