Elise's pizza dough

  • 2 t Active Dry Yeast
  • 240 g Water, warm (30ºC)
  • 3/4 t White Sugar
  • 1 1/4 t Medium-Grain Salt
  • 25 g Vegetable Oil
  • 315 g White Wheat Flour

Yields one large pizza or two medium pizzas.

  1. Activate yeast. Add yeast, sugar, water in mixing bowl. Mix. Rest 10 minutes until yeast activates.
  2. Mix dough. Add oil and salt. Gradually add flour and mix until dough is no longer sticky.
  3. Rise dough. Cover dough in bowl with a warm, damp towel. Rest 30 minutes.
  4. Shape dough into two 30 cm (12") circles or one 40 cm (16") circle.
